Parent Partners

Are you a parent of a child with special needs? Would you like to obtain intensive training in advocacy and leadership? If so, FIND of Louisville can help you.

FIND of Louisville has designed an advanced training program, the Parent Partners program, for parents and other concerned citizens who are committed to developing their leadership skills to help other parents advocate effectively on behalf of children with disabilities in Kentucky. After completing the training program, the Parent Partner will be able to

1. provide confidential support to families with special needs,
2. link families to support groups and other families,
3. explain and guide parents through the Special Education process, and
4. provide a parent’s perspective to educators.
